2026 pricing breakdown

The pricing nobody publishes

Real 2026 numbers for SportsEngine, LeagueApps, TeamSnap and UpperHand, what a custom site actually costs from a public bid record, and the point where a flat fee stops being cheaper than a percentage — including where we lose.

Comparison

MAD Sports Hub vs Playbook365

Playbook365 is aimed squarely at the larger end of this market — multi-sport events, a drag-and-drop scheduling whiteboard, 500 bracket templates, a merchandise storefront and a housing-partner integration. If your event sells hotel room blocks, that last one matters more than everything else on this page, and it is not something we do. What it does not do is publish pricing, so you will not know what you are paying until you have had a sales conversation, and it does not name a payment processor.

How Playbook365 charges. Not published. Playbook365 does not list pricing publicly, and does not name a payment processor — both are quote-and-conversation.

Last reviewed: September 2026. Figures are what the sources below published on that date and we have not independently audited them — check directly before you commit to anything. Our own pricing is on the pricing page and every figure we quote is the start of a published range, so it is the cheapest version of us rather than the only one. We do not use competitor logos.

When Playbook365 is the better fit

If your event involves hotel room blocks, Playbook365 has a housing integration and we do not, and that is the end of the comparison — stay-to-play economics are too central to trade away for a nicer website. The same goes for a large multi-sport operation that needs 500 bracket templates and a scheduling whiteboard on a Saturday morning. Pick them if the event itself is the hard part.

Switching

Entries, divisions and team contacts are the data that matters and it exports. Because Playbook365 quotes rather than publishes, check your contract term before you plan a move — an unknown renewal date is the thing most likely to make this awkward. Typically three to four weeks to build on our side, and we load your teams, schedule and sponsors.

You own your domain, your content and your data, and you can export it any time. Before anything else we build you a free mockup of your event’s site — no cost, no obligation. Like it, we talk. Don’t, and you keep the design.

Questions

What does Playbook365 cost?

They do not publish it, so we are not going to guess. Ask them directly, and ask specifically what the payment processing arrangement is, because that is also not published and it is the number that compounds across a season.

Do you do event housing?

No. If stay-to-play room blocks are part of your event economics, that is a real gap on our side and you should weight it heavily.

Do you sell merch?

Not today. Playbook365 has a storefront for apparel, parking and VIP access; we have sponsor pages and the site those sit on. If merch revenue is central to your event, say so on the call and we will tell you straight whether we are the right fit.
